Have they doubled their prices yet to match ICM?
Too bad; crossing another crystal vendor off my list. Let's just hope they
don't swallow up West Crystal.

Are you going to Dayton? I can bring it for you if you like. If not, I
may even be driving through that area on the way back. Would like to try
out this repeater we've heard so much about on the list.

P.S.: The price is right: free unless you want me to ship it, then just
shipping
not quite there yet.
Time for a Z-matcher or isolator.

Might see about the cables, I
think they were originally cut for 147 Mhz, might need to be changed to get
a better match.
A 2 MHz move will not make a difference w.r.t. duplexer cavity
intercabling. If you don't have a Z-matcher
all the documentation
it had to Documents Incorporated in Greensboro NC. Unfortunately the
trail goes cold there; I can't find any business in Greensboro under that name.
TIA.

I've seen several of these show up on eBay over the past few months. I
assume it's Wavetek's version of the Ramsey COM 3. Am I correct? Any
other thoughts in regards to its quality?

True gain is all ways in dbd, Its
Depends on what you consider a reference. I think of a dipole as having
gain (2.1 dBi) because it does not radiate evenly in all directions. But
then I risk starting another debate like FM vs PM.

I have a need for such a board in a rather short time frame. Does anybody
have any of these that they'd like to part with or have the design so I can
build one? Or Kevin perhaps you have the updated design ready?

I'm looking for a program that I can use for diagnostic decoding of DTMF
tones. I see 100's of links on the net to WinTone at
www.steaksandwich.com, but that site appears to be dead. Anyone know where
I can find WinTone or something similar? Thanks.

An excellent find, Budd - thanks!

a 1/4 or
1/2 wavelength measured from the can to the center of the T. But with the
Q202G I'm not sure. The safest way to go is to simply lengthen the jumpers by
the ratio of the frequency change (163/146).

of rejection
@ 600 kHz from resonance. That should knock the TX noise down enough to
eliminate your desense.
70 dB of TX freq. suppression on the RX leg of the duplexer should be just
enough for any decent RX.

redesigned the filter to cut off a bit low in frequency (210 Hz) in order
to slightly improve system audio quality, since I didn't need brick-wall
filtering at the higher tone freqs. that I don't use.
