I'm in south west scotland, and it's often dead here for hours on end.
I can't remember the last time I did actually speak to someone on the CB
here that I hadn't phoned before to arrange it!

In the '70's, you could ask for A Radio Check any time, on any channel, and
someone would come back with their location, (10-20), signal
