How does one make the software talk to a MASTR-III? All I get is
MASTR-IIe config settings. I read somewhere that it was MASTR.EXE /M3,
but that didn't seem to work.
The actual batch file is as follows...
CD \GE\M2E\RADIO
\GE\M2E\MASTR.EXE /3
CD \GE

Yup, that did it. Thanks Doug.

Anyone know where to find the programming software for a MASTR-IIe or
a MASTR-III?
I finally have the programming of this beast almost figured out, but I
now have a new problem : The receiver is out of lock. Is there some
physical adjustment I need to make inside the unit, or is it hidden
somewhere in the programmer? I have it programmed for 146.61-.
Thanks in advance for
I recently purchased a Mastr III repeater and the person i bought it
from said he would include the software. Well, after over a month I
finally got the software and it's for a Mastr IIe (from what I have
read they both use the same or similar software) it reads the machine
OK but I cannot
try launching the program Mastr.exe /M3 and see if that does the trick.

I'll say either '92 or 93. They were still supplying MIIe's in '91 for
EDACS systems.

EDACS guy here. I have 13 that I take care of. Of those 13, 10 have been
online for the last 5 years with no real problems. I had one PA to burn up

Not personally using one here, but know of people who are. They're
solid machines, if you have the proper programming software and

Bought new around 1991 - lost one driver module in the PA - use internal
CWID/hang time, timeout timer, etc - Have outboard dtmf decoder tied to
a 440 receiver to turn off the repeater, otherwise everything stock from
GE - we do have a doug hall voter wired in using the local receiver plus

They're not all the same. There have been several different tx and rx

Fred,
There is no one precise thing as a manual. Every radio made by GE was
delivered with a combination manual that comprised as many as 12 separate
LBI documents collected into one binder
Our club has located a surplus Mastr III base station,
and I am looking for info on interfacing an external
controller to it. TIA and 73,

I would very strongly (almost to caps) recommend you use the built in controller inherent in the M3. You get hang time, time out timer, dtmf on/off, and morse id just by programming. We have had one in service , W5LM for 6 or 7 years with one PA driver module failure. Best luck, Steve NU5D

But, if you just have to do it. Contact Zetron for their wiring list to connect their out board multi tone repeater controller. Also you will find the CG decoder gets talked down by HAM talkies, most do not filter audio below 300 hz, and that with excessive deviation will talk down the GE
Thanks Steve, but that is not an option for us. It does not offer enough
functionality in our situation. We have a S-Com 7K that will be connected
to it. Thanks again,

Kevin;
The Mastr III station manuals currently document the process
of hooking an external controller to a Mastr III. If it truly is a
Mastr III as opposed to a Mastr IIe there is a quite a
difference. I would suggest you get a manual for it and it should
have the interface in it,
