Morning,
I want to be able to run two antennas one for the Omni and one for the
yagi that I want pointed to the link repeater we are getting ready to
install. What’s the best way to accomplish this? Both antennas are going
to be Ham radio digi for APRS and both on the VHF band. The main radio

OK, I just got my 900 machine back up and running again this morning. For
those who don't remember, this is a MaxTrac Receiver / Com Spec TP-3200
controller / GTX exciter / Motorola STF2520A paging PA arrangement.
Anyhow - the machine had no audio output at all. nada, zilch. only a dead
key.
I successfully, (but the success was only temporary), modified a whole
bunch of Spectra 450-480 (range 3) split radios to work on the ham
bands. The modifications I did to the RF front-end resonators worked
well and requires no more work. The mod I did to the VCO board seems
to only be temporary

Unfortunately we can't hear anything beyond one kilometer. Here are

Since you bought two antennas, I must assume that you aren't using a
duplexer. You need at least 80 dB of isolation, which means that the RX
and TX antennas must be separated vertically by at least 135 feet. This
will work only if the RX antenna feedline is 100% shielded, as in
Heliax. A
What do you want to build a vhf, uhf, or other band repeater? How much do you
plan to invest in the project? And what space is avaliable for the finished
project? Are you going in to a low rf enviroment or a high rf repeater site?
Simplicity says 2 back to back radios through an interface.
I am trying to build my first repeater I have a degree in electronics
and figure i could make a low coverage repeater for local use. Can
anyone point me in the right direction for a simple first build? The
amount of messages here is overwhelming and is not easy to search.
Thanks!
