I had a question on shielding.
The controller I have has a gap on the back of the enclosure where the DB-9 is.
Since I have been told everything has to be double shielded on a repeater, so
should I put some copper tape across the back to cover the gap into the
enclosure. I am

Tape an empty aluminium drink can to the side of the single point earth strap
(or to the leg of the tower).
The magnetic field from the few thousand amps of strike current should flatten
the drink can in microseconds!

in as a convenience for the store personnel, I would not, find out of the
ordinary or particularly in violation of the FC C rules.
And that I would think is a legitimate defense for them.
