I think alot of the stockcars were whitewashed inside with lime and also on the
Katy cars with the black and yellow sides I believe the black was a tar
product, probably coated inside also.

uses, but each RR had their own ideas about where to put the under body fitting
and accessory passenger equipment. This naturally leaves a lot of discretion

I'll take what I can get. The ACE bolsters have use beyond conversions of AF
stuff, especially bolster #2006. I'm pulling that number off the top of my
head. I refer to the coal hopper conversion bolster that I use in reworking
almost any AF item except the box cars. I do still have

This is a great time to suggest we all stock up on spare wear--tear parts --
especially since I already have mine. (grin) Wheel wipers, motors, geared
wheelsets, etc., etc. Most all moving parts will wear out with time and use.
