Hi Stan --
The Airslides were a lot bigger than WWII era cars. Enough so that I traded
my brass Airslide for a brass ACF covered hopper. While the car (early) was
of the correct era for my railroad, it just looked way out of place. It must
have loomed large on the real railroads, too.
I vote for true to scale.

Billy, It's too bad that has happened, but it does happen in all types

While I feel bad about the unpaid BTS invoice, I feel REALLY bad for the folks

Ed has brought up something that really didn't have to happen--a lost

MTH makes an O gauge version of the two bay airslide so maybe they will
decide to do it in S once they get up and running?
It must have loomed large on the real railroads, too.
In any case the drawings weren't right, the materials were poor. After I
opened the kit, the wood went into my scrapbox, the rest was useless.

Bill,
From what little I know, curved frogs are more common in some other
countries than in the USA. You can see lots of them in picture of British
trackwork. In my case, I have built several turnouts with curved frogs on
my layout and there will be more.
You should consider trying to
Just to add my 2 cents, I can show a photo of a pointless double slip switch.
How about a 5 way pointless slip switch. How about a gauntlet switch. FYI they
all were used on NG railroads.
