On my diesel switcher the AC board is replaced by the DC shorting plug. The AC board can then be removed from the unit. The units come with HiRail wheel sets installed and scale wheel sets in the box.So make sure that what you buy has either the set up you want or all the parts so
If you like the size of S, but want a steam locomotive railroad, On30 would be
a good choice. This is especially true if you need to keep the cost down. If
I were starting today, I would probably go this route. Fortunately, over the
last 20 years I have managed to acquire more than enough S
In the past I have used Shinohara flex and turnoouts. Next layout will be
Shinohara flex and Fast Tracks turnouts.
I also use S Trax for quick temporary layouts.

While I hesitate to the discussion, I think there are a few points that have
been missed about the 2 articles included in this S Scale Primer.
But first I think the idea a good one and it does have several S advertisers
displayed on its pages. The articles do provide a nice overview of S -
