I think you're being ignored by the mailing list because of the suspicion that you may be using an illegal copy of this game.
Some people don't have a problem with copying a 20+ year old game for a dead system. Some do. I wish I could help, I will be a Trinity owner at some point and will be trying to do similar things as you, but I have no experience with any of the problems you've mentioned. Good luck!
