Hi,
I was messing about with comet assembler recently and tried a simple routine
to display some data on the screen one worked a treat the other killed my
routine but they should have both done exactly the same. The difference was
on the first routine i done all the paging etc, then displayed
Thanks Colin Adrian for helping me out, I realized I had forgotten to make
a new stack and when I did this I then pointed my pointer to the beginning
of the new stack and not at the end minus 2 bytes.

There seems to be some more activity on this list which is good news which
has got me thinking, like me there are probably people out there that are
trying to write new games for our beloved SAM but lack that final bit of the
jigsaw whether it be some routines, music or graphics.
Would it be a

I like the idea of increasing the SAM library and I think as the SAM is 20
years old this year we should push ‘Retro Gamer’ into making a long awaited few
page spread on our beloved SAM at least this would raise the profile of the SAM
and get people wondering what it’s about and maybe get more
I like the idea of the Jam Assembler but is there any way just to write with
JAM then compile and run on Sim coupe without the need to make a disc first,
if it crashes then all i would do is close down SIM Coupe and debug?

Hello
I want to use JPUT (0133) to display my graphics to compare speed with my
own routine, on a 512K Sam where is the default screen page stored?
I understand that as long as the graphics are between 16384 and 32767 or
above 57344 in the screen page that should be fine but where in the
Hi all
How much work would it be to convert the scart signal out of the SAM into a
VGA monitor?
Andy
Still trying to work out the best method, what I'm trying to do is similar
to a Sam in a can but then attach a laptop monitor to it just to see how it
looks, I know it's impractical but indeed a bit of fun.
A bit more research should give me an idea if a laptop screen will work

I've seen a few demos made with games master and it seems ok, I also think
it's a good medium to do simple quick games i may have a look into using it
myself now my spare time is returning. Has anyone written any games with
games master that we can all look at?

It is great to see some activity on here again, 1 quick question where did
the amiga dizzy map come from to get screens, i've been looking for good
amiga screenshot maps everywhere as i'm not an artist and this stops me
writing games, i like to see graphical progress when i'm writing.

Back in the days of the Sam there was a screen compressing utility which was
