No, the option/s/ are all enabled in the kernel. What's missing, I

Hi!
I've set up a Samba-Server with WINS which should enhance networking around here. The situation is fairly simple:

Till now everything worked more or less well without WINS (so the DHCP-Server just assigned

I believe your below questions are referring to the additional 1200 Linux
systems that you are going to be adding. If they are, then here is some
potential answers for you...

I actually find Samba a very kewl server app so the subject isn't coming from
someone that has a preference for Netware over samba. My issue is actually
two-fold, one being the record locking problems in Samba and the other being
the slowness of dos apps in samba.

I'm testing my smb client against Samba on FreeBSD. The server's
local filesystem has a maximum filesize of 16 Terabytes. If my

appears reply_write_and_X()
When using NT4 PDC with Samba, and trying to add groups to file and directory ACLs from a PC to the Samba share it fails (Samba on IBM AIX 5.1 configured "with-acl"). Adding users works fine but not groups.From examining level 10 debug output I belive the bug is that the SID is not checked agains
