We have WIN NT machine and Win 2000 as its client.
The Win 2000 client is having a printer attached to it and that printer is
configured as network printer on WIN NT machine.
We are unable to print from a remote AIX machine on to the printer connected
to WIN NT Machine from AIX host.
My Win2k is not connecting to Samba 2.0.8 server
running RH7.1
I could not set the EnableClearTextPassword=1 as
suggested in one help site.

The index's I have are uid, uidNumber, gidNumber, cn, objectClass, default eq
when I start slapd with debug level 2, I can see a lot of searches for users and a
hell of a lot of searches for groups. These happen virtually every second.

you can use rpm -i --force --nodeps packetnames
on suse this works fine to upgrade from 2.28a to version 3 with rpm packs

changed), and I have a question: my machines will be find the PDC?
What's the best method to make it?
I have two ideas:
- I make a Samba BDC and keep them into the same network that the
stations;
- I put the server
I've setup a samba share with authentication through windows PDC using NSSwitch and
wbinfo. I have everything configured and working but I didn't change the PAM modules.
Do I really need to make changes there? This I only want access for the clients to
the samba share.

I'm copying files from an Compressed NTFS partition to a samba share. The files seem
to copy over correctly but the applications that use them say they are corrupt. When
I uncompress the files first I don't get corruption. Is this normal behavior??
