Recently I've upgraded our Samba installation. After then I find that all
WinXP workstations cannot logon to the server. The official HOWTO mentioned
this problem and suggested resetting the SID using net setlocalsid .
But this does not help in my case. The SID of our server has
I'm up to create a Samba server which provides PDF-printers in a network.
This server should rely on a special remastered Knoppix system.
Once deployed in a network, the server should be accessible for
configuration by a browser interface which allowes to create and configure

What is the source of your samba RPM packages? Did you obtain the correct one
for each SuSE Linux platform? The binary files are very specific to each
release and can not be installed across releases. With each SuSE Linux
release come later generation libraries. Samba will be linked

Has anyone seen this behavior before:
- Set winbind separator = +
- Start winbind, start samba
- cannot authenticate users
- change winbind separator = +
- Restart samba
- Authentication works okay for several days
