Hi Werner,
I don't know if this can help you, but I did (a couple hours ago) have an
almost similar problem as you do. In my case, I use symlink in the samba
share. They can be accessed from windows users but from linux. When I
mounted the share in linux, the link was broken. All I do is add

After trying a upgrade from 3.0.22 to 3.0.24 winbind stopped working.
This was quite serious for us since we use windows domain accounts to
login into all kind of services on linux.
I saw error messages like:
no reply received to cldap netlogon
in the /var/log/samba/log.winbindd and
I tried recreating the password and I still get the same error.

I had this problem and I could not find the solution on Usenet that's
why I'm posting - maybe somebody more fortunate won't have to spend
hours and hours to fix this.

Hi all,
I'm having a problem with an upgrade of Samba running on a Redhat4 Update 4
system. The default installation provides only 3.0.10 which doesn't include the
privilege model or a number of fixes including some in 3.0.21a and 3.0.23 which
it looks like we'll need.
The system runs in PDC

You can either view the directories as they are suppose to appear,
