Recently built 3.0.30 for testing and cannot establish a Trust Relationship
with our Windows 2003 domain controller. Joining
the domain seems to work but shares are unavailable. Working backwards, I
ended up identifying Samba 3.0.28a
as a working build. Any version after that does not work.

your installation.
So - now you've rebooted and you're up and running, edit the nsswitch.conf
to put ldap back.

Simple problem thats happening on two different servers.
Samba is a PDC, users are creating files via windows.
My goal is to make each and every file rwxrwx--- .
They are being created as rwxrw

How will the users be authenticating? If you're going to be adding the
machines to an NT domain and you want users to authenticate against
that at login you will need to store all the samba account information
including the nt password hash in there. So although you can still
