Hello ,
I had a superb samba PDC server which functioned perfectly and its hosts

I made backups. I reinstalled a debian and used my old /etc.
Indeed, when I loggue a XP station, I recover well my profiles on the

So I'm running Ubuntu Server with Samba setup as a PDC. Right now I'm
just testing this out before actually moving all our users to the
domain. I setup an account on my machine to test everything. The account
logs into the domain just fine. But I start in windows classic mode and

Detailed audit logging is enabled on the Windows machines.
My question is this - if I find an entry in the Windows XP Event Viewer
I am running samba 3.0.20b as a PDC on Fedora core 4 with LDAP

that are not running SP2.
However, SP2 clients fail with a blue screen when logging on with a

Hey,
I am just wondering how you enforce security (such as permissions) on local
workstations while running Samba 2.2.x as a PDC with 2K/XP workstations? As
some of us don't have or want 2000 Server to enforce things like policies
etc... how do you all do it. E.g. If we want 'Administrator' to
Hi,
This is a simple query and may well have been answered in the mailing
list archives but my searching can't find an answer to my specific
problem.
My PDC is Samba 2.2.3 on Redhat 7.3, clients are a mix of Win 2k and XP
