I actually did not have etc/cups/mime.conf. I had two files
etc/cups/mine.types and etc/cups/mime.convs but I did the same to both files
(uncomment the lines) and this worked fine!

I have a printer shared through Samba on RH 9. When a job is complete, it is
dropping out from the Linux queue. But on the Win 98 client, it never goes
away - it remains forever (unless you delete it), with a blank status

Ok so my understanding is you need to have add user script and add group
script set up on all of the DC's however you can have them pointing to one
server.
