I have SL 5.5 with 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5 on a server storage with raid
controller Areca 1880.
In this server I have 3 volumes:

What file system is on /dev/sdb, /dev/sdc, /dev/sdd
What kind of partition table did you use?
Are there any software monitoring and diagnostics you
have for the Areca RAID controller?
