I've written a new fingerstyle guitar instrumental called 'The Last Farmer'. It's more
or
less in Scots tradition despite the instrument. Inspired by the situation all round me
in
the Borders right now; if this keeps up, one day there really will be no farmers left.
So
it's definitely a lament. It is, as usual, almost unlistenable to in lo-fi streaming
but
sounds 'as played' if downloaded or hi-fi. It would probably work OK on whistle or
flute
but I think it would be unfiddlable.
