Hulda Clark says you can't rinse it off, there is always a residue. She recommends borax and washing soda. Borax in the dishwasher, with vinegar as a rinse aid. R
When I wash a few dishes by hand here and there I use liquid dish soap, and because it is concentrated I dilute it a lot with water. I always rinse well. Otherwise I use a dishwasher about once a week because I 'pack' it with dishes before I turn it on. Saves on water.
