CSTurmeric

2005-06-17 Thread William Amos

Turmeric, the spice that gives curry its brilliant yellow color, may help
preserve your brilliance. A compound called curcumin, found in turmeric,
appears to shrink the protein deposits that build up in the brains of people
with Alzheimer's disease, report UCLA researchers who studied the effect in
rats. Human trails are now under way. DOSE: Add a teaspoon of turmeric to
rice, couscous, or vegetable dishes. Or consider a supplement, such as
Tumericforce (one softgel daily with a meal).

Re: CSionizable magnesium?

2005-06-17 Thread Rowena
Can anyone tell me what ionizable magnesium might be?

http://www.coldcure.com/html/dep.html#codex said As previously mentioned,
magnesium regulates many nerve receptors, such as NMDA or 5-HT3. When
inadequately regulated due to magnesium deficiency, those receptors cause
fibromyalgia pain and increase sleep deprivation, further worsening magnesium
deficiency. Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome are often not diagnosed
by internists, rather they conduct multiple expensive tests to rule out other
possibilities. These painful symptoms are always predictive of major health
problems in the future including cardiac trouble and depression if not treated
with ionizable magnesium at about 200 mg three to four times a day.

Any links or info, anyone?

Thanks
Rowena

Re: CSionizable magnesium?

2005-06-17 Thread FRANK CUNS-RIAL
Rowena,
I don't know what ionizable magnesium could mean, but I'll tell you that
magnesium is a divalent metal that has the tendency to bind chemically via
ionic bonding with strong acids such as nitric, sulphuric, hydrochloric forming
salts known as magnesium nitrite, magnesium sulgate and magnesium chloride
respecitively. This type of bond, where an electron donor and an electron
acceptor share electrons is known as an ionic bond. It is a weak bond and in
fact when you dissolve magnesium sulphate, for example, in water the bond
weakens to the point that the magnesium ion splits from the salt and exists in
ionic form in concenrt with equally but opposite charged sulphate ions (charged
atoms).
From that standpoint, magnesium is an ionizable metal.
Magnesium can also react with other weak acids such as gluconate forming a
different type of bond, much stronger covalent bond, that does not split or
ionize in water.
I hope I made sense.

The only ionziable magnesium I have come across is Active-H, a unique
antioxidant product marketed in Europe, which releases negatively charged
hydrogen ions from Magnesium hydrogen carbonate/citrate, which is ionized with
active hydrogen mixed with Microcluster® silica. The product is a development
of the original silica based MegaH/Megahydrate/Hydrogen Boost/Active H- sold in
the US, invented by water researcher Dr. Patrick Flanagan.

CSRe:CSPost Polio Syndrome

2005-06-17 Thread William Amos
My wife of 43 years who developed polio at age 15 was diagnosed with PPS. in
the later years. The only thing she took at that time for the muscle
degeneration was valium.
I guess that is what led me into searching for altenative medicines. Today I
would think colloidal gold would have been of some help.
