I'm currently porting OSCAR to openSUSE 10.2.
Now I'm having a problem during the client installation.
My client installation breaks up with following error:
Partitioning /dev/sda...
Old partition table for /dev/sda:
...
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1
/dev/zero: No such file or

That is almost the same as i proposed ;-) only it contains more
architectures. It works :-). The only problem is that i still do not have
the man page of si_installbtimage.8.gz. So i commented that line.
