A couple of moth ago I read an article on the Apache James Mailserver and downloaded the binary dist. I was able to get into James within a couple of minutes and to configure it properly for running in production mode. We picked James for two reasons: primarily because it was so easy to set up, plus in the future we plan on integrating a Mailet with our application and allow people to post photos to their site via email.
