[RCSE] DS plane suggestions

1999-10-21 Thread Richard Dolf
Hi all, I want to to try DS'ing on our local (small) hill and would appreciate suggestions as to what kind of plane would be appropriate. Has anyone DS'd with a red herring? Mog? TG3? What planes should I be considering? EPP is probably a must and cost is also a factor. TIA, Richard

Brass when in contact with other metals and/or brass, will NOT make any radio interference. Thats why they use brass and not steel or aluminum in RC equip.. Isn´t this right? Meant I´ve read this somewhere sometime. As long as brass is always in contact the radio interference will be minimal.

The type of line used is important. It should not be elastic, and you prolly don't need a chute, but rather a weight at the end of the line. 1-2 ounces should suffice. Low elasticity however is most important. This way you could still leave the line attached to the heli (r/c of course). regards

Dave; I think it wise personally to send it in, after all they can and will also check everything else out while they have it, and getting the module tuned and checked isn't a bad idea either.A minimal charge for general servicing may be worth it.(besides the repair) I have had very good 1-2
