Fellas, Just to set the record straight about the NATS and RES Skegs... RES was a classification sent to the AMA and voted upon by YOUR sailplane RC Rules committee. There is one guy per district... This new RES classification, contained the no skeg rule in it. The supposed reason was that

The other day I crack the tip near the peg launching in 15-20 mph winds. I layed the tip on the ground before launching but the wind was already picking it up before running forward. After running forward then rotating around it was during the downwind area of the rotation that it cracked.

Mr..Carr, The LSF had nothing to do with the AMA rule change, for RES... which is the only Official AMA event that does not allow skegs. NO other events are affected by this rule at this time. YOUR RC Soaring Rules committee, put this rule in place and no one not even you apparently objected.

Is there a reason for using coroplast over cardboard? I researched a local firm that advertises Boxes to Size and for a box 6X12X60 it was only $8.09 in quantity 12. I'm sure if a group got together, they could come up with some reasonable quantity, and find a local supplier for same.
