I can't find 3M filament tape used for building foam planes. I've looked in
Office Max, Office Depot and Home Depot. Who carries it?
Thanks,
Randy

Hey John,
I sounds like trouble in the brush area for sure.
We are pretty rough on our motors, we push 12V thru a 6V motor, then we
power retrieve for the next launch. This puts a lot of electrical as well as
mechanical wear on the brushes and commutator. I change out brushes every
season, same
Hi All, does the Heli version of the 9 channel have the launch/normal/speed
switch on the left side of the radio? Can you change the trim setting for the
elevator from the right side to the left side? TIA, Rich

Try Target, I loaded up last time I went there because 3M seems harder and
harder to find.

In a nutshell - when his aerial is
fully/partially extended his RX doesn't
respond at all.
As soon as you touch the extended aerial
with the bare hand or fully
collapse it, the RX responds.
My RD6000 once had similar behavior -- very flaky RF output.
The problem was a poor connection with the
Hi All,
I would appreciate any comments on pros and cons of Spoilerons and
Flaperons. I have a couple of hotliners and have set them up with Spoilerons
( they have ailerons outboard ). I have an SR X-250 and the like ( full span
ailerons ) and have set them up with Flaperons. Is this the best
It's been my experience that using flaperons for landing is a bad thing.
They do slow you down very well, but they also kill you aileron response at
low speeds. Basically, if you think about the geometry of it, you can end
up with a situation of cranking the stick over and having the aileron on
Yes! The 3 position (launch/normal/speed) is on the left were we
need it for gliders on the Heli version. Only the 9Z allows you to
change trim assignments. You can get most of the questions answered

I remember awhile back that I heard about a show on
racing hang gliding. Does anyone know if it will be on again soon? I recently
got the wings channel and would like to see it even though I would not be crazy
enough to try it. If some one has it on tape I would be interested in a
copy.
I finally have finished my Level III with a cross country today, went about
half again as far as I had to, was good lift and no problems, flew at the
field after return for 5-6 minutes before landing. Thanks Terry Mickle and
Mike Reed for the assistance.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has helped me with my Ninja
questions since I got it. Its fully built and has flown a few tosses at the
park. I had to adjust the CG, but that's it. The FG reinforcement helped
alot. See my website (which is a brand new design just published today)
I'm in the market for a +-60 electric sailplane (speed 400, 480 or?),
with a middle-of-the-road cost. Glass fuse and ailerons are a must.
Does anyone have something like this for sale or maybe point me in the
right direction (web site, mfg., etc.)
ThanksDan
Just got back from our monthly Tri-State contest.good lift this morning but
got lighter as the afternoon went on. The fun part of this was for the
second contest in a row the newbies put a hurting on the old timers.Big at a
boy to Kevin Sheen for his second 1st place, in two contest in a row .
Kevin's new sailplane was a scratch built RES-MAXX.
Congrats to him for a job well done. Can't wait to see
him when he gets used to it.
the progress on the kit version is coming along
nicely. I should have the kit ready in a month or two.
A test run of parts is going out this week and if all
