Good point. It is overkill, and as soon as the magnets are separated a little bit, they lose most functionality. Also remember that these magnets are (relatively) easy to slide apart, so if the plane part in question is sheard off - it will just slide away. Their real force is felt when separating

I seem to recall that some regulators are not recommended for use with Hitec digital servos. I've had a set of 4 5245s in an Ultimate bipe for well over two years now - two on ailerons, one each on rudder and elevator (pull-pull). Power comes from a 4-cell 1200 mAh NIMH pack. -0- problems.

It's pretty odd that you've had failures of now four servos (I think) in the exact same servo pockets. It feels like more than a coincidence. I wouldn't put ANY servo in that airplane until I figured it out. Likely that whatever you put in there next will fail to. I personally would use
