Well, by fast charging I meant really stressing the pack - i.e.
attempting to charge an empay pack in 15 minutes to full
capacity, which would be 4C (right?). I normally follow the 1C rule -
if it's a 350mah pack, I charge it at 350ma for an hour. Occasionally

Just in case some one missed my last post on this, I have a Multiplex P4000 TX for sale. Comes with a Multiplex hard case, neck strap, charging jack, and extra set of longer sticks. This was my back up radio, but since nothing ever seems to happen to these, I decided I don't need it.

Yeah, and:
1. Never fast charge your plane!
2. Always check your battery wires / switches!
It's a hell of a thing to loose a chunk of money due to a few cents

Your Cheap Battery Pack info is right on, but one thing you have stated I would

The glider is an ASG29 which is certified in the US as ASW27-18.

Robert,
I know contests are not for everyone. We all enjoy this
wonderful sport in our own way,and that's just fine with me. Why not
just do the all the LSF tasks, and omit the contests? Make
your own check-off sheet, and work through the levels in order, just like you

There's an idea...
