On RCGroups tonight I saw something that I thought I would never see for sale,
a $1K DLG, it is a Vandal fullhouse ship with RADS. Be the first to admit that
I have spent my fair share on ships, but a DLG for $1000? That environment is
way too tough on airframes for me to toss that amount up

What I find interesting is that the Supra is considered the 'bench
mark' and then there are the others...cheaper, but with some feature
that makes them...better? worth more? almost as good for the cost?
There are
Or perhaps it's because I've flown both and could see no real
difference... except one comes with all the radio stuff for the same
price as the other airframe. I'm spending the difference on a winch...
:p
And besides, I'm on the list for something better.
Hi Gordy...

Not to take anything away from the awesome fun that I have had flying
MOM in the midwest, the MOM itself may not be the only reason that
interest has improved.
One of the classic studies in industrial management is an experiment
with factory workers where lighting was slowly improved and an
I bought a bunch of 1/16 X 4 X 48 and some 1/20 in the same large
dimensions there a couple of weeks ago. I always got good wood there...
hope they come back.

I really appreciated the information on Advanced Range Testing. While I've
had mostly good luck (yes - it really is 'luck') with 72MHz, the expense and
horror stories of 2.4 have kept me away. With this article, a realistic
analysis process seems possible which would address the reception
I'm sure its been discussed elsewhere, but can someone describe the
differences in performance that you can expect with the JR 9303 2.4
transmitter and a JR 9303 transmitter equipped with the Spektrum Module
system. (Both using the AR 9000)

9303 2.4 vs module will get you model match. E.g. The model
configuration will be matched to the RX. So you can't mismatch the
program with the model.
9303 2.4 sends updates to the servos more frequently. You might notice
this as faster response. Some pilots have added some additional
I saw that too, and I have to admit I just don't get it. Why so much for
the Vandal?

Well, I honestly think that Geoff Jones simply does not want to work for free. I think that the $1000 comes with servos and stuff too. If that makes a difference. For the same price, I have an Aspirin (fully molded and designed by Andreas Herrig) Marc, I agree...a tough environment to be sure. I
Why would the co ax be a problem, unless you used it to hang up the TX ?

Marc,
Even more amazing is the fact it took no time at all to sale. Of course if
you take into consideration that the plane was completely ready to fly and
basically brand new, most of the top line competitive planes out there are
nearly the same price by the time you buy the air frame, the
