I happened to be in Muncie yesterday for the Muncie Edurathon triathlon,
which was held at the Prairie Creek Reservoir just south of the AMA.
After the race, the wife and I stopped by the AMA to see what was going
on. Pylon racing and combat.
We sat down and watched a couple of combat heats
posted for Brian
Chuck Anderson CD'd his last TD contest yesterday. (He says) What a mark
in soaring history. 40 years of CD'ing at least one contest a year. Can
any one match that record? What a wonderful influence Chuck has been to
our club (The Coffee Airfoilers) and to soaring in
I just got a call from Harry and Johnny Berlin successfully completed his 8
hour Level V task today along the lake Michigan shoreline with perfect sloap
conditions and has now completed all level V requirements.
8 hrs, 1 minute, 20 seconds.
Harry De Boer and Ted Grossner witnessed the flight.
Congratulations Johnny!! Pretty good to have that one out of the way, eh?

They typically come charged right out of the package however like any
battery you should be checking them to ensure that each cel is up to par. I
would trickle and discharge twice and check to make sure you are within 10%
of the rating.
