I was totally overwhelmed with interest in this fuse, but felt the most
fair method to chose the buyer was to select the first person who firmly
committed to both buy it and ship it from Minnesota.
I didn't wish to tick off the rest of you who were interested. I repeatedly

I just put up some new pics of the build of my Escape Lt. The new rudder
does make a lot of difference. So as far as I'm concerned George Joy was
right. It does fly better with a bigger rudder.

I'm redoing the DARTS website, and I want to 'beef up' the OVSS section.
If anyone will be keeping scores, I'd like to link to / draw from that.
If anyone has an OVSS schedule yet, I'll do a seperate calendar for
that, also.
Any other info, previous winners, pictures, etc would be great to have,

On the other hand.
I'm kinda proud of Gordy for making the effort. Is it bragging or
advertising for LSF? I think it's raised some awareness of this excellent
program and
that's good.

Hi All,
RCSE was down for the past day or so while the Airage network guys

Ever notice that almost all sailplanes and
commercial jets have T-tails. I have. I think that they are the

Harley Michaelis has designed a really light horizontal stab for the Genie
and Genie LT/S. I'm sure the design wouldn't be too difficult to work out on
a T-tail, you'd just have to incorporate a control surface because the
Genies' tails are full flying.

Pardon? I've not heard anything indicating this. What could this be
attributed to?
Maybe: 1. Gets tail out of the down wash of the wing.
2. Helps the interference drag at the point of
union of the fin and stab.
These are the only possiblities I can think of

T-tails are the preffered tail for real sailplanes
because there is only 1 set of intersection drag
problems to deal with. For models that you are going
to dork land, they're a little impractical. Built
normally, the tail boom breaks right at the point
where the fin attaches. The T-tail can be
I abandoned T-tail designs (except for the Orca twist wing sloper that had a
fixed horizontal stab with no moving elevator) over 25 years ago.
I agree they certainly do look pretty, but as Tom K just observed, they can
get heavy and can do damage to the fuse in a hard dork.
Too, unless the fin
