Jack, The problem here is NiMH cells, nothing will happen to NiCd cells, in fact a NiMH charger is better for the NiCd cells than is a NiCd charger because it has a more sensitive overvoltage detect. All chargers except the Sirius charge line use Delta peak detection, in other words
