I'll be on vacation in the San Diego area starting this Saturday. Will

Poway definitely has some good DS depending on conditions. You may want to
explore Torrey Pines a little. South of the hanglider port/shack there is a
ridge the seems like it would work well in a decent breeze. We flew it in
