Well I am glad you asked!!! The Great Pumpkin Fly is the theme for the Cincinnati Soaring Societies 1st fall contest of about twenty years ago. That was when Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin cartoon was really big. The Great Pumpkin, having been retired from television, has been living here in Cincinnati, running our fall contest over the years. And yes, we have pictures of the Great Pumpkin Flying, as well as directing. He has flown all kinds of events, including nite flies.... This year, October 16 and 17, the Great Pumpkin and the Cincinnati Soaring society, will be holding the 20th Annual Great Pumpkin Fly contest. There will be a raffle, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE "SPONSORS"; some really good food; a great time; and fun people. We are expecting people from AL, TN, IN, IL, MO, KY, OH, PA, NC and other points unknown.
