No. The best way to consider this is that you have (technically, only
partially) elliminated one variable, that is one RX XTAL and it's
periphery, due to the factors you mention.
In other words, one variable is now more stationary and able to track
the dynamics to the TX more accurately (one
grin excellent question! As Martin points out, the inconsistencies
within the transmitted packet and/or off-center carrier frequency
recognition would be difficult to ascertain from a synthesized TX and
allow this type of RX technology to perform properly.
