@Ben - Out of curiosity, what are the limits of doing your company trick?
Can you stay more than 3 months for a long job? What if you have family,
kids in school, etc?

It's no trick you. Firstly you have to tell the company concerned you will
be billing through a company so you do not go no there books. When you do
your return it is better if the are multi sources of income coming from
different places.
The best thing to do is talk to a good accountant he or

Happy Friday Folks,
Does anyone know how to add extra Camera Views to a Layout?
I'd like to use the Layout Editor to create some extra camera views on my 2nd
monitor in a dual layout mode.
Camera isn't one of the selectable views though when I create a new Pane.
View Manager is a selection,
You can use an object view and set the view attributes to use specific
cameras.

I suppose you could ony have one ViewManager, becouse ist some limitation.
The only solution i came up with:
Create a Object View (Alt + 8) and set it to View- All Objects

Yep that is the only solution that works. Select and lock all objects
once in Object view. Only there is no default shortcut key assigned to
object view. Alt+8 is for XSI Explorer.

George you don't have to use a reseller from NYC. You can use

Hey guys,
So I'm trying to set some environment variables via a batch script but this
page (
http://softimage.wiki.softimage.com/xsidocs/EnvVars_EnvironmentVariableReference.htm)
doesn't have a workgroup variable to set.
I stumbled upon Stephens blog (
Hey Gene,
The easiest and most reliable way to have complete control over workgroups
is to rewrite your *default.xsipref* file before launching.
You'll find in your program root under /Data/Preferences/default.xsipref
The format is pretty straightforward. At work we made a 50 line module to
we are using the same method, change the xsipref file before starting up.
its still a shame that all the options available for setting workgroups
still fall short of what we actually need!

but then I'm
forced to use the SI command prompt and to be honest I'm not even sure how
to call that thing from within a bat file since call C:\Program

to work.
The SI command prompt is just a normal command prompt
As Luc-Eric said you can call the setenv anywhere in your bat file, but if you
want to do it all in one line try this:
call C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Softimage 2013 SP1\Application\bin\setenv.bat
start /min cmd /c %XSI_BINDIR%\xsi.bat -w
\\path\to\workgroup1,\\path\to\workgroup2

Object Views worked fine...
I'm creating a multi projector animation so I've lined up the 7 cameras in a
custom layout on my second monitor to keep an eye on what comes into view
when.
Peachy thanks,
