I gave up. Didn't even work with maya, Linux permission swamp.
So anyone using tractor? We are about to switch to a new dispatcher since
rush is... Let's just say that it hasn't changed much the last 5 years. So
we are testing everything out there.

No, Tractor. Alfred is the old crappy stuff, Tractor is the new shiny thing
with a Python API :)
Are you guys using it?

We do not run linux, but we have customized RR pre-and-post-render quite a
bit. We are able to have RR automatically reconnect to different workgroups
that contain different releases of third party renderers associated with a
project per render job. And Holger has always been responsive to our
