Hello everyone, I use the version of Solr-7.7.3.
The following error occurred during the index write phase, but after restarting
the Solr service, the file was deleted, and access to the index has also been
restored.
Has anyone ever encountered this mistake?

Hi Erick,
Thanks for your advice about having openSearcher set to true

should handle this quite well too. Because I always shutdown tomcat

Recently I did a couple of tests about this issue. When

This is unlikely, Solr should handle this quite well. More likely you
encountered some other issue, one possibility is that you had a disk

This means Solr may get update request during shutdown. I think that is the

always get CorruptIndexException. The trace is as below:

Hi,
Got following error during optimize of index on 2 nodes of 12 node cluster.
Please let me know if the index can be recovered and how and what could be
the reason?
Total number of nodes: 12
No replica.
Solr version - 5.4.0
Java version - 1.7.0_91 (Open JDK 64 bit)
Ubuntu version : Ubuntu
Anyone has any inputs on this?

CorruptIndexException is thrown while trying to open searcher.
this core is marked as active and thus query can get redirected there and
this causes data inconsistency to users.
this occurs with solr 4.10.3, should be noted that I use nested docs.

hi all
I have been working on moving us from 4.0 to a newer build of 4.1
I am seeing a CorruptIndexException: checksum mismatch in segments file

I did see something in the build log for #119 re LUCENE-4446 that mentions

It looks like your solr lucene-core version doesn't match with the
lucene version used to generate the index, as Yonik said, looks like
there is a lucene library conflict.

Wow, that is an interesting one...
I bet there is more than one Lucene version kicking around the
classpath somehow.
Try removing all of the servlet container's working directories.

Mike,
You are right it does sound exactly like that situation. The java
version is:
java version 1.6.0_05
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode)

Hmmm, not good.
One other thing to try would be -Xint, which turns off hotspot
compilation entirely. On that last case that also prevented the issue.
Did you cleanly rebuild your index when you retested? And you're

Which exact version of the JRE are you using? Can you try running

Your situation sounds very similar to this one:

2Hi all,
Is there any way to recover from such an error as listed in the subject heading?
Luke can view the index just fine (at least at a cursory level Luke is able to
open the index, give me back the # of docs, etc.), but solr throws this
exception whenever I try and start it up.

did you create/modify the index with a newer version of lucene than the
one you use in solr?
In this case I doubt you can downgrade your index, but maybe you can
upgrade lucene in your solr (search in this forum, there should be a
thread about this), (or try with the latest nightly builds)
2Unfortunately, the answer is no. I didn't use an upgraded version of lucene
or solr. this is the bizzarre issue. I'm actually using solr via the
acts_as_solr plugin used in ruby.
