I'm attempting to get an Alcatel Speedtouch USB/ADSL modem working under
Linux. I've successfully got the USB side working, and Alcatel's management
program is running. I've built the 2.4.7 kernel with the pppoatm-1.gz

1.) Rebuild your kernel, I would recommend 2.4.18, which doesn't require
patches for ATM etc..
2.) Install ppp 2.4.1
