Is there any reason why the kernel module does not include all of modem_run's functionallity in it? linux kernel 2.6.x has it's own firmware upgrade api. Also, the kernel speedtouch driver could handle it's own USB interrupt endpoint, and thus handle it's own link up/down status. Cheers James

Hi, I have found that if I do ping -s 6 www.demon.net the ping fails, but what is worse, all future IP traffic ceases. I have found that restarting pppd fixes this problem. I have not been able to work out if this is a pppd problem or a speedtch.ko module problem. Can anybody help? James
