The reason: recently I started writing documentation with rst and
sphinx
please use any file viewer like mcview and use hex mode to see what is
lineend used (\n or \n\r) or what is lineend used in your generated html.
another case when these occurs to me is when i have used notepad to see
these files. please post here or somewhere entire file.

I've had a lot of luck using pandoc - http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/ - which
handles LaTeX, ReST and some other markup formats besides.
