Does somebody has that tool?
If so, can somebody send me a correct link or sent it to me by e-mail?
tnx in advance.

You can control the amount of used cache_mem with the cache manager or with

Thanks for your answer Robert.
Of course I had already read all the clear explanations given in the squid.conf

It explains that when the garbage interval passes, all user credentials that
have passed their TTL are removed from memory.
This is why I thought that if I set both

All of these parameters only relate to how long Squid remembers that a
specific login:password combination if valid or remembers that it has
ever seen the user accessing the cache.
The browser authenticates to Squid on each and every request. The only

need to filter your logs appropriately, I think (and rotate them more

As of yet the message from the external helpers is not used. The plan
was on having this available as a % tag in error pages, but never got
implemented in Squid-2.5.
Have private patches which do add support for a % tag using this
value. Will note to try to add this to Squid-3.

Don't use a redirector, use /etc/hosts instead (or a private DNS
server).

Recommended action is to rebuild the RPM from the Source RPM (should

A bit of both is probably the most suitable. But it depends on the
size distribution of your objects. If mainly small objects then
cache_mem is sufficient.
Note: to use more than ca 1-1.5GB of cache_mem you need to build Squid
as a 64 bit application. Using tmpfs does not have such limitations
