The documentation you sended was very useful.
Is there a way to allow a user to use the full bandwidth when avaible,

Hi Guys,
I'm wondering if its possible to setup two different classes of access while
still using NTLM authentication.
E.G. basic access that allows only web documents (and images and CSS)
Supervisor type access that allows downloading of .zip .exe and other
potentially harmful files (but still

Dear Yanier,
Thanks for your input. But this will not work with a list of IP's and MAC's (we
have more than 100 users). Then there is no need of user authentication. I
already decleared rule to achieve this (but have a problem where a user can use
any of the ip from the pool... look
not really.
Nothing however forbids the external authorizaion processes
(squidguard for example) from implementing their own reconfiguration
logic, for instance by receiving a SIGHUP.
In this case squid would not even know that the hpers have
reconfigured themselves.

On 5/26/09,
Yes.
Squid 3's class 4 (if you authenticate users) and class 5 (if you
don't) delay pools are especially useful for this.

Yes, either by using the cache manager or by using some log analysis
tool. Please see the squid wiki (http://wiki.squid-cache.org) for
further details.

Either using log analyzers (I'm partial to SCALAR, myself, but there are
a number linked from http://www.squid-cache.org/Scripts/) or graphing

Yes, it is possible, but hairy: imagine for example a website (e.g.
EBay) which uses isapi.dll as part of the request path, or sites
running as CGI on windows servers (where the URL contains the .exe
keyword but it is acually HTML.
Filtering by content-type (via reply_access rules) may help but

The cachemgr contains a lot of counters.
I use: squidclient mgr:info
... Hits as % of bytes shows what % of traffic is coming out of the cache.
