After succesfully applying WCCP, suddenly my File Descriptor drop to 50%
below normal. Usually my FD be used around 500 (I open it at 2048). Then I
increase the FD to 4096.
Does WCCP affect to FD usage?

Problem is solved now. I turned off half_closed_clients and I found an IP
address sending a lot of request to Squid box and access.log reports
TCP_MISS.
I sucpected it because of virus or worm Then I block the IP using IPTABLES
and my FD back to normal.

Where should I put the command "ulimit -SHn 2048"? In rc.local or
/root/.bashrc?
I tried to put in rc.local, but my RH9 could not boot with the such setting
and still display 1024 of open file when I typed ulimit -a. But cache.log
reported there is 2048 of file descriptors.
If I put in /root/.bashrc, the RH9 recognize open file 2048 but cache.log
reported only 1024 of file descriptors.
