I've announced Squid-2.6.STABLE17. I suggest everyone who is running
Squid-2 should upgrade to 2.6.STABLE17 as soon as possible.
I'll announce something more about it in a day or two.
If you're running Squid-3 then please update to the most recent
snapshot, for similar reasons.
Adrian
You misunderstand how it works.
The browser pops up that box to gather authentication credentials it
then uses for all subsequent connections to the proxy server.
Using a login page won't magically place authentication credentials
in the web browser for it to then use for subsequent connections.

In both FreeBSD and Solaris, compiling with the parameter --enable-ssl
completed successfully.
Thanks for telling us
Hi,
after upgrading the squid on Linux (2.6.9), I receive the Invalid
capability version 0 message in the log.
What does the line mean, and more importantly, will that impact stability?
Thanks, Uto
thanks for the reply, I've seen that the ftp_passive is enabled on
squid by default, so it's no needed to enable.
Later thinking about this again, Im going to try without squid as ftp
proxy because it should be dificult to select only ftp trafic from the
squid machine because is mixed on the same
Is there no way to do this securely and in such a way that squid is able
