A storage vendor who offers a Windows 2003 DSM for Windows MPIO for
their storage or upgrading to the MPIO capabilities included
On windows, QLogic used to have a filter driver called qldirect. That was
discontinued around 2004 in favor of Microsoft's MPIO which requires storage
vendors to provide a DSM.

That's right!
The Storage Vendor must implement the MPIO Plugins(DSM), Like Solaris MPxIO or
Linux DM PlugIn.
I face the Multipath problem too when use Opensolaris as storage platform.

Thanks,
Please excuse me if I sound ignorant. My understanding is that ComStar doesn't
depend on the any Storage Vendor. When the LU is presented, it's branded as
Comstar/Sun. Just for the record, I use Sun x4540 running OSol. LU is presented
to Win2003.
I've seen some comments, where people
May I ask how did you solve it?

You can try some FC HBA, some firmwares support multipath. I means the FC HBA
is
placed in windwos machine. It's work as Initiator not Target mode.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Isn't mpio in the initiator valid only for iscsi?
I'm having the problem now in FC.

What FC HBA are you using? I have qlogic 2Gb and 4Gb card. I believe qlogic
removed this feature from their driver. Depending on driver used, 2Gb version
might be still possible to use MPIO.

Native (Microsoft-provided) FC initiator MPIO
Thanks,
My HBA is QMH2462.
Should I be downgrading my driver?
Thanks,
