Between 1.0 and 1.1 there's a switch that determines whether numerics like Integer go to 0 or to null. If you have the test setup, try it again with convertNull set to true as an ActionServlet parameter. If it then works, we can just document the condition. Since numerics are not recommended

problem with type validation

Hello, It seems to us that there is a serious flaw in the struts validation - in the RequestUtil class, the BeanUtils.populate method is called. In our testing, this allows an erroneous value to be replaced with a default value - for example a form class which will set a Short, and the form value
