It seems that Microsoft has a growing concern for open
source solutions. Recently, a Microsoft survey
targeted Linux users to find out:
*why Linux users have opted not to use Microsoft, *and
what Microsoft could do to improve their operating
system(s). See:
www.postgres.org -- PostgreSQL. Free. Has a JDBC
driver. Have used this before with Struts. Works
well.
www.mysql.com -- MySQL. Nice free database. I have
used it with only PHP, but I did read that it does
have a JDBC driver.
