A while back, I e-mailed this list regarding Tomcat -> Oracle connectivity issues across a firewall. Basically, the firewall would kill connection pool-based connections after 90 minutes. We finally figured out a solution (rather than workarounds) - and the best news is - it's from the Oracle side, not on the Tomcat/application side.
