Sure. Go for it. I managed to get to the page for initiating the automated
telephone call to get a PIN number, but held off because I am at a layover in
Dallas on my way to SF.
I can try later if you are unsuccessful.

Interesting thread and timely. I'm headed to SF (from DC) to attend the
Facebook Developer's Conference. There is a pre-conference workshop on Monday
for NGOs. I'll keep an eye out for any relevant bits of info.
I will be going to the the OLPC SF meeting tomorrow.

With the availability of the XO-duo to all comers, I wanted to see if by
chance the configuration that is being sold here:

If not, can the dual boot Android/Sugar build be flashed

degree of difficulty depends on the security configuration; SKU308 and
SKU309 were manufactured unlocked.

Martin,
Thanks for summarizing some of the same links I discovered upon
searching. As someone who is involved with several ongoing projects
(some deployed) at a large non-profit in the U.S. working towards the
so-called vision of one tablet per grandma, I was excited for a
minute to see the
status as a member project of the
Software Freedom Conservancy to dedicate resources to it.

Just to see what it would look like, I loaded your HTML5 prototype of Sugar

Here's a cool demo of the Neonode multitouch frame:

Not only multi-touch, but also entry direction and tilt. For a dollar!
Seems like this would be great as a retrofit kit.

Hi Peter (or anyone),
Does this mean Read 87 in 10.1.3 still does not have Epub support?
Also, I know it clearly says on A.sl.o that Read 88 is for Sugar 0.90,
but I downloaded it anyway and installed it into 10.1.3/0.84 on an
XO-1.5 to see what would happen. Read 88 replaces 87 in the activity

I'd like to also put in a plug for the LEGO's low-cost WeDo robotics

I just tried this on an Intel Classmate 3 (2goPC) with Windows XP Home.
Booting from a Kingston DataTraveler 2GB USB drive gets through the Fedora

This is another baby step that's keeping my excitement growing.
I installed your new snapshot on a 4 gig USB drive using Fedora's
